Mercury 8-hp outboard motors are lightweight and small. The Mercury 8 HP Outboard engine is a twin-cylinder four-stroke that provides quiet, smooth, and fuel-efficient running, making it perfect for inflatables, jon boats, and skiffs. The Mercury 8HP outboard’s multi-function tiller handle allows one-handed control of steering, stopping, throttle and throttle tension, and F-N-R gear shifting. The tilt and trim angle can be readily adjusted by the user thanks to Mercury’s innovative auto-ratchet technology. The Mercury Outboard model 8MH has a 15-inch shaft and is manual start.
