Description
Wider, heavier boats require more power, thrust, and control, which the Mercury 9.9 HP Outboard motor with Command Thrust provides. A taller gear case places the prop deeper below turbulent water for better performance, and a 20% larger prop improves control. For sailboat and trolling/kicker applications, the Mercury 9.9 outboard engine is a great option due to its low 2.42:1 gear ratio and high thrust propeller. By preventing air from being sucked into the propeller, the Command Thrust’s large, anti-ventilation plate improves speed and efficiency even further. A 20-inch shaft, electric start, auto ratchet tilt and trim, and Mercury’s multi-function tiller handle that enables one-handed F-N-R gear shifting, throttle and throttle tension, steering, and stopping are all features of the 9.9 HP Mercury Outboard Motor model 9.9ELHPT-CT-PK. Mercury offers a three-year basic warranty.
