The 5hp Tohatsu outboard motor offers unmatched dependability and exceptional fuel economy. With a 15-inch short shaft, the Tohatsu 5hp Model MFS5DS is a fantastic portable power source for inflatables, skiffs, and jon boats. It may also be used as supplemental power for sailboats and “kickers” for bigger fishing vessels. The newly designed top and bottom cowls based on Tohatsu Design Philosophy for Marine Products, ultra-low emission, three-way storage positions without worrying about oil spills, EPA and CARB 3-Star approved, and the newly designed Tohatsu unique front and back carrying handles for easier transportation are also included with the new MFS5DS.The Tohatsu 5hp outboard engine has a larger carburetor and propeller for better performance, but it still has many of the same features as the 4hp engine. A portable 3.1-gallon external gasoline tank and fuel line (supplied) are used to distribute fuel.
