The Mercury 8hp Mercury Outboard is perfect for sailboat, trolling/kicker, small pontoons, skiffs, and long shaft Jon boats. Despite being lightweight, this 84-pound Mercury 8 HP outboard engine’s potent twin-cylinder four-stroke provides quiet, smooth, and fuel-efficient running. Steering, stopping, throttle and throttle tension, and F-N-R gear shifting may all be done with one hand thanks to the multipurpose tiller handle. The tilt and trim angle can be readily adjusted by the user thanks to Mercury’s innovative auto-ratchet technology. The Mercury 8 HP Outboard Motor model 8MLH has a 20-inch shaft and manual start.
