We now think that Model Year Elimination will provide a number of advantages to our customers, dealers, and boat builders after examining the practices of the other major outboard manufacturers. Instead of waiting for the model year to change, Suzuki Marine can now release new outboard models during the boating season. These models will be available to consumers sooner rather than later. Because they won’t have to cut inventory before a model year change, dealers and boat builders will have a greater supply of outboards.
