Yamaha VF175 V MAX SHO 2.8L VF175LA Outboard Motor 2018
$8,034.30
Description
With its class-leading top speed and thrilling hole shot, the I-4 V MAX SHO® 175 is a lean and mean machine. With a tournament load, it reached 62 mph, which is five mph quicker than its VF150 sister.
*A Skeeter® ZX190 with a tournament load and two passengers was used in Yamaha Marine’s tests.
Convenience and Control
EASY RIGGING: I-4 V MAX SHO® outboards are compatible with analog, 6Y5 digital, or Command Link® gauges and include mechanical controls that make rigging most bass, bay, and flats boats simple and convenient.
EXTRA SPACE: An external oil tank is not required because of the four-stroke in-line configuration. As a result, the boat will weigh less and have more space to store tackle and equipment.
AMPLE CHARGING POWER: The V MAX SHO® 175 and 150 alternators exhibit an 11% boost in charging power at 50 amps compared to the two-stroke 150 HPDI®.
Power and Performance
QUIET POWER AND PERFORMANCE: The I-4 V MAX SHO® design produces clean, quiet power and performance by optimizing combustion efficiency in a manner that no two-stroke engine can match.
Variable Camshaft Timing, a characteristic of the V MAX SHO® 175 and 150, regulates the intake camshaft’s angle to boost power and throttle responsiveness in the low- and mid-RPM ranges.
FUEL EFFICIENT: Compared to conventional carbureted two-stroke engines, in-line Four V MAX SHO® designs can save up to 40% on fuel consumption.
OPTIMUM POWER: The long-track intake system and precision multi-point electronic fuel injection work together to optimize power and fuel efficiency across the In-series Four V MAX SHO® outboard series.
POWER MANAGEMENT: The Engine Control Module (ECM), which quickly makes the appropriate changes for optimal performance, receives important atmospheric and engine conditions from a variety of sophisticated sensors.
Reliability and Durability
The outboard is protected by the engine warning system, which has several features such as water-in-fuel detection, over-rev protection, shift-in prevention at open throttle, start-in-gear protection, low-oil-pressure warning (which automatically lowers the maximum RPM to 2000), and overheat protection.
IMPROVED LUBRICATION: Wet sump pump lubrication that employs an oil pump and pressurized oil delivery system.
CORROSION PROTECTION: Our unique Phaze FiveTM electro-deposited, anti-corrosive paint technique, when combined with our proprietary alloy (YDC-30), offers a robust, five-layer corrosion barrier. All four-stroke Yamaha I-4 V MAX SHO® engines come with this protection as standard.
Indestructible dependability: Water entering the cowlings during normal operation is captured and drained by the Cowling Drain System and Air Intake Labyrinth System of the I-4 V MAX SHO® 175 and 150.
